Associate Professor's Position Open at FIU

Here's an email circulated on our membership listserv:

Florida International University, a culturally-diverse state institution in sunny South Florida, is searching for an Assistant Professor in Communications (Advertising/Public Relations).

An associate member of South Florida Black Journalists Association, who flourished in the position, is headed up north.

I met with the Dean of the School of Journalism and Mass Communications who hated to lose our colleague, but hopes we can spread the word.

For this tenured-track position, they are looking for demonstrated research, as well as a commitment to Communications.

The FIU Biscayne Campus has more than 2,000 students in the major. The campus is 67% Hispanic, 12% Black/African-American.
